 Things  the Class has done over the years:

  • Went to Carver and painted classrooms on the third floor

 

  • Gave out 15 plus scholarships to Carver's seniors, valued at $500.00 ea.

     (gave one student a scholarship for 4 consecutive years. Finished with her Doctorate)

 

  • Donated 25 dictionary books as a gift to Carver's library

 

  • Gave Teachers Appreciation Banquet in 2005 to honor teachers who taught us

 

  • Hosted a 7 day Cruise in 1999

 

  • Hosted a Motorcoach 9 days class trip to Washington D.C. & various states/cities in 2014

 

  • Given Christmas gatherings the last 13 years, to meet and greet classmates

 

  • Developed a class web site page (gwcarverclassof66)

 

  • Hosted bus rides to Mississippi Casinos

 

  • Donated $700.00 to the Field of Dream

 

  • Hosted the 20th, 30th, 35th, 45th and 50th Class Reunion

     The 40th Reunion was cancelled due to Katrina (Committee reformed later that year)

 

  • The Class of "66" hosted a project to provide a free Math and Science Tutorial (ACT PREP) for Carver Seniors Students in SUNO Library

 

  • Sent out plants/flowers to decease classmates when we are notified

 

  • Sent out cards to classmates when close relative expires when we are notified

 

  • Celebrated outing with the Class of 2016 on 4/08/16 @ Joe Brown Park

  • Celebrated Graduation and Marched behind the Class of 2016

  • Gave 2(two) scholarships to the Class of 2016 at $1000.00 each. Miss. Ty'jah Cowart & Mr. Bobby Davis

  • Gave gift bags to the entire Class of 2016

  • Gave 4(four) Ram Heads to the Top four Students. Miss. Dominique Newton, Miss. Paige Crump, Miss. Imani Handy And Mr. Brian Davi, class of 2016

  • Attended Carver's Ribbon cutting on 8/31/2016

  • 2017 Lunch Cruise on the Steamboat Natchez

  • Committee attended Committee members churches quarterly  

  • December 2020 the class donated $1030.00 to the Second Harvest Food Bank in memory of Letitia Bright Ducksworth.

  • Started our Christmas Gala back in 2022 after the Covid 19 Pandemic. ​​

  • June 2022, donated $110 to Second Harvest Food Bank​

  • March 21, 2023, donated $200.00 to G.W.Carver Boy's Basketball team parade. (Back to Back Championship)

  • Celebrated 2022 Christmas Gala in Honor of Letitia Bright Ducksworth

  • Hosted a Motorcoach 9 days class trip to Washington D.C. & various states/cities in 2023 

 The Class of "66" hosted a project to provide a free Math and Science Tutorial (ACT PREP) for Carver Seniors Students at New Orleans East Library (Dr. Robert Carter Jr.) 2024
